Abracadabra! Hearing Aid Battery Magic
Just got back from a fantastic day at DHH Family Camp in Julian, CA. It was SUPER fun! There was archery, arts and crafts, a giant climbing wall, and even TIE DYE, people!!
This was the 17th year of the camp, but my first time attending. I was lucky enough to be invited to speak to the parents about "Audiology 101." These were some AWESOME parents they asked really good questions! We had a great chat afterward about technology (specifically FM vs. DM vs. remote microphone systems) and auditory access.
This got me thinking; I should start a blog here to talk about interesting topics and answer some questions! There is just so much to know in the DHH world (DHH= D/deaf/hard of hearing). I love learning and I love helping others learn too. So let's give this a go! Email me your burning questions and i'll try to answer them here. Because chances are, if you have a question, TONS of other people are wondering the same thing.
In the meantime, let me leave you with a little magic trick I showed at Camp today to help you tell a good hearing aid battery from a dead battery... WITHOUT using a battery tester! And P.S. To learn more about DHH Family Camp, click here!
